Extras
There have been many requests for many helps with allergy problems and also for stevia as a sweetener, which has brought about the need for this second cookbook.
In this book we will be telling you what has worked and is working for us. We are all different. If one thin doesn't work for you, try different things until you find what does work.
We have attempted to help you to find what your intolerances and allergies are by helping you to keep a food diary and eliminating for a time the foods you suspect are causing a problem for you. The section with daily menus is designed to help you plan your meals around the Four-Day Rotation Diet.
Our aim is to give you healthy, nutritious recipes that are nourishing and will with time help your body to heal itself. We do not usually become ill overnight and we will also need to give our bodies time to heal. In our society it is not always easy to stick with a healthy diet, but it is well worth the extra effort it takes to do so.
I have had allergy problems for many years. About 5 years ago I had the lg G ELISA blood test done, which also test for hidden delayed reactions. If you would like more information on the lg G ELISA blood test call IMMUNO LABORATORIES at 1-800-231-9197. Along with the blood tests, the doctor also introduced me to the Four-Day Rotation Diet, which I have adhered to since. I am now able to enjoy many foods I could not tolerate five years ado. Some foods are no longer a problem, while others my body can handle as long as I eat them in moderation and don't eat them more often than every four days. However, there are still some foods I can't tolerate even on the rotation diet.
I have had low blood sugar for over 25 years. I was told to eat lots of protein and not many carbohydrates. I ate lots of meat - often a quarter pound several times a day. It kept me going, but I slowly kept getting sicker and sicker.
Since I am on a rotation diet, my blood sugar has leveled out to the point that I don't feel the need to eat between meals, nor at bedtime. We eat chicken and fish only occasionally - not even once a week - and beef mostly just in social settings. We get our protein from nuts, seeds, whole grains, beans and lentils.
Since on this diet, I no longer have weight gain problems, which I have had since childhood.
We do not use dairy products, except occasionally for social reasons; however, on the rare occasions when we do, we no longer have reactions to them. My husband has had sinus problems ever since I've known him. Since he has eliminated dairy products, his sinus condition has greatly improved.
I hope these recipes and helps will be as helpful to you as they have been to us.
Mary Yoder
