Description
 
16 lbs - chunk meat
1 cup - salt
1 cup - brown sugar
2 tsp - soda
1 tsp - salt peter, scant
1 gal - boiling water

Mix dry ingredients with the boiling water and pour over chunks. Let stand 4 days in cool place. Wash off well. Put in jars and cold pack 3 hours. This makes 9-10 qt.
