Shipping policy
Order Processing Times – Orders are generally processed within 2-3 business days from the date of the order placed as our shipping team does not operate on weekends and specific holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, New Years Day, Good Friday). This may vary depending on order volume and product availability. Please be advised that during the holiday season from mid-November through the new year and during promotions for free shipping, our order processing time will on average extend to 7-10 business days order processing due to a high volume of orders that we receive. Our shipping team will notify you via email or phone pending any delays prior to shipment.
Regional Specific Shipping Times – If you live in the following states and your order include perishable items then it will be shipped only Monday through Wednesday to - Arizona, California, Nevada, Washington to ensure that it does not sit at an external shipping facility on their non-operational days to help maintain food safety and quality standards.
Please see below for state specific shipping times (Note that this does not include order processing time).
- 1 Day – Ohio, and Parts of IN, KY, MI, NY, PA, and WV.
- 2 Day – Most of IA, IL, MN, NJ, NY, SC, VA, WI, and Parts of AL, DE, MA, ME, MO, NC, PA, TN, VT.
- 3 Day – Most of ND, and Parts of AR, CO, FL, GA, KS, OK, LA, MN, MO, MS, NE, SD, TX, and WY.
- 4 Day – Parts of AZ, CA, CO, ID, MT, NM, NV, OR, TX, UT, WA, and WY
- 5 Day – Parts of CA, ID, and OR.
- Potential Service Disruptions – Delays in shipping may occur in transit due to seasonal carrier shipping volumes and other variables outside of the control of Walnut Creek Cheese & Market.
Shipping to P.O. Boxes, APO and FPO Addresses –
- Non-Contiguous United States (Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and U.S. territories – will be delivered through UPS through the following options - Ground, 2nd Day Air, 3 Day Select, Next Day Air. There are some limitations for Next Day Air and 2nd Day Air for Alaska and Hawaii.
- Any orders entered with a P.O. Box will require the following – contains items considered to be non-perishable, except for beef jerky and sticks. All orders containing meat, cheeses, baked goods, chocolates and other items considered perishable must be shipped to a physical address.
- APO and FPO Addresses – Order must be processed by phone at 330-852-2888. Orders may take up to two weeks for delivery. Except for beef jerky and sticks, we cannot ship items such as meat, cheese, baked goods, chocolates and other items considered perishables. All APO and FPO addresses will be delivered through the United States Postal Service.
Shipping Costs – start at $11.95. This may increase due to purchase amount and/or if order includes perishable items that require coolers and ice packs.
Warm Weather Care Requirements - When shipping cheese, baked goods, chocolates or other items considered perishable during warmer months or to warmer regions they will require an insulated cooler and expedited shipping to maintain the integrity of food safety and quality.
Order Tracking Details – After your order has been fulfilled by our shipping team then you will receive your order and tracking details. If you select the Route Shipping Protection, then tracking is also available through their website.
Return & Refunds – Due to shipping costs and the nature of our products and food safety concerns, Walnut Creek Cheese & Market cannot accept returns for online store orders though will be provide refunds or replace the product for the following –
- When our products fail to meet our customers’ expectations within one month of being received by the customer.
- When our products expire before their printed best-by, use-by or expiration date.
- When contacting customer care with these issues, we require a picture of the dates printed on the packaging.
- When products fail to meet quality standards (examples – bad seal, melted, moldy, damaged main packaging for specific items, etc.).
- When contacting customer care with these issues, we require a picture of the quality concerns).
- If the address provided is incorrect when entered by the customer and the order has already been shipped, we will not be able to process a refund though if the order has not already been delivered, we can correct the address; however, the customer will be responsible for the cost of correction. Address correction costs are determined by UPS.
- Any order replacement and shipping costs will be at the expense of the customer.
- Any delivery service issue occurrences related to packages damaged in transit or delivered to the incorrect address due to the carrier service will be reviewed by our Customer Care and they will contact the specified customer to determine a solution to resolve the issue by refunding or reshipping the order in question.
- Any refund will be equal to the original purchase price.
Changes & Cancellations – We can guarantee changes and cancellations of your order only if it has not already been shipped. After the order has shipped and leaves our facility, we will do our best to accommodate any requests though we cannot guarantee.
