Exotic Rice Blend will put a new twist on your usual rice dishes. This rice blend has a natural nutty flavor and firm texture that makes it great to use as a side dish for any meal. Use also as a great addition to your favorite soups and stews.
Directions: Heat 3 Tbsp vegetable oil in a large saucepan. Add 1 cup rice blend and fry on medium high heat, stirring constantly, until lightly browned. Slowly add 2½ cups water or broth. Bring to a boil, and then reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer for 35-40 minutes. Remove from heat, keep covered and allow to steam for 15 minutes. Fluff with a fork, salt and pepper to taste and serve. Makes about 4 servings (¾ cup each).
